Instagram: My Favorite Social Network
Instagram has become my most favorite and frequented social network website. Initially I hated Instagram because my only interaction with it on FaceBook was people posting pictures of their morning coffee with a crappy software filter applied to it.
Since signing up 2 years ago I have experienced very few pictures of food or morning coffee in my Instagram feed. The also thing I haven’t experienced is people posting their abrasive political statements, or posting meme like images (like you see on FaceBook now).
Instagram only has the “good stuff” from your family and friends and none of the crap that makes visiting Facebook feel like an obligatory chore.
The nice thing about Instagram is that there is little friction to users of the website being able to tell a story, and as a follower or user of the website you can see their story progress each time they update their feed.
While I dont belive I am terribly interesting as a person to follow you can follow me here: https://instagram.com/natemerrill/ …I am trying to get better at being interesting on my Instagram, but the story I am telling is generally thing things a Father does around his house with his kids, and the occasional adventures that we go on.
My current favorite Instagram account to follow: https://www.instagram.com/freemanexplore/ …David and Amy Freeman are currently spending 1 year in the BWCA wilderness to raise awareness about sufide mining; this account is amazingly interesting to follow.
